I chose to go into medicine because I wanted to use my scientific abilities to help people live better lives, like my father did as a physician. Obstetrics and gynecology is the perfect specialty for me. Caring for women combines everything I love about being a doctor... the purely medical aspects and the personal interaction, as well.
